Topside Activities

Around the Resort

Topside days are filled with fun in the sun at Cayman Brac Beach Resort! We have bicycles available for guests to explore the island, a beach volleyball court, tennis court, basketball court, and be sure to checkout the library in the lobby.

Island Activities

Cayman Brac stands out as the rugged and adventurous island among the three Cayman Islands. To the East of the island lies the impressive 150ft limestone Bluff, offering a habitat for around 200 bird species found on the island. Amidst the rugged terrain, hidden caves and trails await exploration, providing a thrilling experience for visitors.

Hiking & Trails

Several designated trails lead through wetlands and forests, across the Bluff, and past historical sites such as the Lighthouse. The trails are marked and categorized from easy to challenging. Click to view a map of Heritage Sites & Trails.

Birding

Cayman Brac is a birders paradise with migrating sea birds making a pit stop to the island in search of fresh water. Catch a glimpse of majestic frigate birds, brown-footed boobies, rare Cayman Brac parrott and rare Cayman Brac Parrot,  and the West Indian Whistling Duck.

Rock Climbing

For the adventurous diver, you can dive the wall in the morning and set up a climb or rappel down the Bluff in the afternoon! Cayman Brac is a lesser-known destination for climbing, but one of the best with routes available for all levels. Our friends at Rock Iguana can set you up with a beginner’s tour, or a more intense beginner course. Check out their website for more information on Rock Climbing in Cayman Brac.
